Lip balm: a coconut cocoa house balm

Two-three ingredients are enough to achieve this very gentle treatment that intensely nourishes and protects the lips from dryness. Apply with your fingertip for an immediate effect.

Homemade lip balm: zoom on the ingredients

Coconut oil. Rich in vitamins A and E, it is very fine, non-greasy, and penetrates the epidermis in two steps. It fights against dehydration and softens the lips.

Cocoa butter. Its healing and restorative action prevents the appearance of cracks. And its solid texture gives creaminess to the balm.

Plum oil. Its bitter almond scent brings a gourmet touch to the balm. As for its softening and emollient properties, they keep the lips soft and well nourished. Particularly rich in vitamin E, plum oil also fights against aging.

Yellow beeswax. It naturally has a sweet honey scent. Texture agent, the wax thickens this balm, gives it consistency. And it prevents dehydration of the lips thanks to its film-forming properties.

You need

– 5 g of coconut oil

– 5 g of cocoa butter

– 8 g of plum oil

– 2 g of yellow beeswax

 

Homemade lip balm: instructions for use

– Take a small amount of balm and distribute it with your fingertip on the lips and their contour.

– Do not hesitate to use it and to abuse it throughout the day, to nourish your lips well.

Precautions & advice
– Want a little color?
Add a quarter of a teaspoon of micas (natural pigments) to your balm. Once the preparation has melted, add the micas, stir to mix them well, then pour the balm into a pot.

– Respect rigorous hygiene during the manufacture of the treatment.

– Remember to clean and disinfect your hands, as well as the utensils and containers you use, as well as the countertop.

– This natural balm can be kept at room temperature for about six months.

Production

– Melt all the ingredients in a double boiler in a saucepan until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

– Then pour the preparation into a small pot.

– Let cool to room temperature until the balm solidifies.
